The Genetic Constitution of Mountain Tea (Sideritis raeseri, Lamiaceae), a Heavily ExploitedNatural Resource

Mountain tea (Sideritis raeseri, Lamiaceae) is an important export product of Eastern Mediterranean countries like Albania and Greece. Most of the export is still coming from natural resources ('wild collection'). The demand increased significantly and puts already pressure on the natural populations. Therefore, first basics should be elaborated in this project enabling a sustainable wild collection. An important basis is the information about the genetic constitution of populations to recognize a genetic limitation of the species by wild collection in time. In this mobility project is to establish a genotyping protocol for mountain tea and its implementation in Albania.
