Evidence of selenium in the region Muehlviertel, Upper Austria

Abstract
Within a one-year's period, the contents of selenium (Se) in serum samples of 270 cows originating from 13 farms were examined to control wether there are correlations to fertility parameters or not. Furthermore, possible influences of seasonal fluctuations of serum levels of Se to fertility were checked. Because of mik yield control of all farms, also correlations to milk yield are examined.
