Identification of efficacious delivery systems for recombinant and nucleic acid construct vaccines

Abstract
The general aspect for the project is the comparison of different types of vaccines and vaccination strategies to generate an effective immune response to CSFV in swine. Of importance is the knowledge of relevant epitopes on the employed model antigens and the fact that the succes of the vaccination can not only be monitored by several parameters for the humoral and cellular immune response but that selected antigen delivery systems can be tested for effective protection in an existing challenge model. Peptide moieties, RNA- and DNA-constructs will be used for vaccination and the influence of immunomodulating molecules tested.
