Weight management and functional support of joint function in aged overweight dogs

Abstract
Physiotherapy and nutritional treatment are important tools that can improve state of health and help to reduce lameness and osteoarthritic problems in overweight dogs. The implementation of physiotherapy and the combination with effective dietary treatment, including lower energy intake and supplementation with functional ingredients, is a promising treatment strategy.
