Abstract:
In our study we tried to find a connection between stress and different parameters of the immun system of the dog.We meassured leukocytes, the akute-phase proteines C reactive protein (CRP) and serum amyloid A (SAA) and the interleukines IL-1, IL-2,IL-6, IL-8, IL-10 and IL-12p35, tumor necrose faktor alpha (TNF alpha) and tumor growth factor beta (TGF beta) as parameters of the immune system and cortisol as stress parameter in dogs undergoing minor surgery and in dogs with hyperadrenocortizism. We found changes of the different white blood cells and an increase of the acute-phase proteins.
