Abstract:
116 red foxes were sent by 9-28-2011 to 11-7-2011 from all of Austria to the AGES-Mödling. The meatjuice of the tongue muscles and the serum samples became by means of indirect E/S ELISA of the PRIONICS® on Trichine/la spp. examined. At the meat juices tests 18 became Trichine/la-AB positive animals from altogether 116 tests detected and 4 positive animals at 46 serum samples. The 116 fox tongues became examined for Trichine/la larvae in lnnsbruck by means of digesting method, all tests showed a negative result. The prevalence camparisans from earlier Austrian studies and studies of surrounding neighboring states have recognized, that furthermors the Trichine/la infection plays a role in the red fox population in Austria.
